The Australian equivalent would be former Essendon footballer and Melbourne coach Neale Daniher who is five years to the day older than I am. Neale and his three brothers all played for Essendon (the club of my father too) and he was diagnosed in 2013, making the diagnosis public the following year. LinMM Posted June 3 Share Posted June 3 A friend of ours died of motor neurone disease in his mid 40’s some years back now but it’s a terrible disease which seems to strike right in your prime of Life ……I just don’t know how people cope with it.
