Ingrid
Good Call @capybara! From everything I've heard he had a fabulous debut as Rudolph, and I think he even said in interview that that's his favourite role. So I'm sure he would be up for he challenge. Since I've only had access to DVD's in relation to Mayerling, my top 2 would be Ed Watson and Irek Mukhamedov.
Ian Macmillan
Just up on the Guardian website, and for inclusion in tomorrow's Links: https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2019/nov/26/romeo-and-juliet-beyond-words-balletboyz-film-royal-ballet

zxDaveM
I know it will be on BBC2, but still no notification as to time or day. My guess is it will be nearer NYE/NY Day than Christmas Day (or Boxing day) - though don't quote me on it
alison
I definitely thought it was announced as being on Christmas Day originally - before we all found out that it was a mere figment of our imaginations

alison
Great. Not stashed away on BBC4 where nobody will find it unless they're looking for it.
JohnS
Very good to read Sarah Crompton’s interview with Francesca Hayward in today's Links - much more than Romeo &Juliet but I thought it worth highlighting here.

MargaretN7
The latest clip on the romeoandjulietfilm instagram stops just too soon for me to be able to see if Tybalt caught the apple Mercutio threw! 🤔😁

Candleque
Lots of tickets available for tonight's screening at Sadler's Wells. Includes a Q+A with directors Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, leading cast members and creatives.
alison
I hope people who go will report back: I shan't be going, as I don't want to cough and splutter over everyone. It'll have to be next week.

I would have loved to have been there, but my daughter’s school carol concert takes precedence. ChrisG
There's a feature on Francesca Hayward (described as Meghan Markle's favourite ballerina), promoting the new Romeo and Juliet film, in the new Christmas edition of Radio Times. It's accompanied by a lovely photo of her on the Millennium Bridge and one of her aged 10!

RuthE
On the RT website it says it will "start to appear" in shops from Saturday 7th (now in the past) and should be fully available by tomorrow.
capybara
The first 'public' screening at Sadlers Wells this morning attracted an audience of around 50 people. I'm not sure that this theatre, with a relatively small screen, was the best environment in which to watch the film.
alison
Oh, that was the "relaxed" screening, which I didn't even know was happening until last night (nor, apparently, did a lot of other people).

Yes. I only knew about it because, when I went online to buy tickets for this evening, the opportunity to book popped up.
alison
I've just had a look on the Curzon webpage and discovered that, contrary to expectations, there are other showings at some cinemas apart from next Monday, so worth checking if you have access to any of them.
