alison
Tomorrow night's (7.30) Prom by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Andris Nelsons: Carlos Simon: Four Black American Dances Stravinsky: Petrushka (1947) Gershwin: Piano Concerto in F major Ravel: La Valse And one (two, actually) I'd totally managed to miss out on: Saturday 2nd September, 3 pm and 7.30 pm - the Aurora Orchestra under Nicholas Collon: The Rite by Heart: a dramatic and musical exploration of Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring (actors were still to be announced at the time of going to print) Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring (performed from memory) Both Prom programmes will be live on BBC Radio 3 and available for several weeks afterwards on BBC Sounds.
