  1. Had to google him because, notwithstanding my attendance at around 80 or so concerts a year, I've never heard of him. Sounds like a third-rate Ludovico Einaudi.
  2. Yes, it's in booking period 2 (confirmed if you click through to see the booking dates).
  3. No you're not. They sent an email to ticket-holders advising that there had been a mistake originally (the 1.5 hour timing) and that it's actually 45 minutes.
  4. Sorry, I had counted the Marston/Scarlett double as a full length. My bad. It still means the front loading of payments through the year though (about 3/4 of the total performances are in the first 2 booking periods).
  5. Nice to see 3 full lengths in each of booking periods 1 and 2. Nothing like front loading...
  6. It's in pretty much the same format as the PRs over the past few years, save that it covers opera and ballet in one PR. I have no difficultly whatsoever reading it.
  7. Why do you think it's of no interest to me? It's your persistent refusal to acknowledge why people have the feelings about SP that they do that I find tiresome. As for the school of which SP will be artistic director, that'll be the school that hasn't been built yet and is proposed for an area of Ukraine that has been annexed by Russia. Hardly something to crow about. And I know plenty of dancers who have opened their own successful dance schools at ages much younger than 29.
  8. Bonelli is on sabbatical for the 18/19 season (excepting Mayerling and Frankenstein) while he takes part in the Clore Leadership Programme.
  9. Press release (opera and ballet in the same one this year): Royal-Opera-House-201920-Season-Announcement.pdf
  10. We have known for some time that there would be a new full length McGregor in the 19/20 season (an extract is being performed by the RB on tour in LA this July). I really don't think there's room in the RB season for two McGregor full length pieces.
  11. Full lengths are Manon Sleeping Beauty Coppélia Onegin Swan Lake The Dante Project (new McGregor)
  12. Reece Clarke is replaced on Friday (and 23rd and 29th) by Jacopo Tissi, a guest artist from the Bolshoi.
  13. From where I see it, all the dancers seem to love the competition (almost all the whooping you hear at the competition is from the dancers who aren’t competing), the finalists are selected by company members, rather than management, and senior dancers give freely of their time to coach and mentor the finalists. It appears to be really good for company morale.
  14. I don’t find it a problem provided people haven’t used words like “tonight” in the subject header.
