  1. As I have A17 available on this thread, that means there’s a pair!
  2. Whilst I wasn't there last night (due to work commitments) and, therefore, don't know exactly where the empty seats were, it's worth remembering that the seats behind the static camera in the middle don't get sold as the camera is in the way!
  3. I have A17 available for this event in the Clore Studio, ROH (6pm start). Face value is £11. Please PM if interested.
  4. I have SCS D26 available for 20 November - face value is £11. Please PM if interested.
  5. I have a spare ticket for the Coppélia insight evening on 12 November in the Clore Studio, ROH. The seat is E18 and face value is £20. Please PM if interested.
  6. I liked the fanfares and I’d like them to come back - they make it clear an announcement is about to be made!
  7. Possibly worth remembering that there is already a recent DVD that includes Concerto (with Elite Syncopations and The Judas Tree).
  8. Yes. As the widow of a knight bachelor, she is Lady MacMillan or Deborah, Lady MacMillan. Lady firstname surname is a courtesy title for the daughter of a duke, marquess or earl (as in Lady Mary Crawley or Lady Sarah Chatto).
  9. Having checked with probably the best source there is, the heritage programme is still happening. BRB are doing Dante Sonata and the rest of the programme will be announced in due course.
  10. As I said, it shows the top price and the bottom price. According to the methodology, the research is done across all the theatres for one set date - in 2019, it was 5 October - which explains why there were opera prices and ballet prices in different years for ROH. That does mean, for the rep theatres, higher priced shows may not always show up (e.g. Fidelio, which only just trumps Hamiton...). To be honest, I don't see how "consistently offers the cheapest tickets in the West End." suggests anything to do with a average price.
  11. As a subscriber to The Stage, I have access to the published survey data. I've just looked at 2017, 2018 and 2019. The figures are split between commercial theatres and subsidised/NfPs and show the top price and the bottom price. In each year, the ROH shows as the cheapest across both sections (even though for 2018 & 2019 it showed an opera price as the lowest, which is higher than the ballet "cheap" tickets).
  12. He's not giving her the bracelet, he's saying "so where did you get this rather fancy bracelet?"
  13. I was responding to a comment about "the next generation" [my emphasis]. There has, of course, just been a round of four promotions to Principal Character Artist, which to me is the current generation.
  14. Perhaps they gave up on providing civil responses when someone took matters to the newspapers.
  15. Tomas Mock, Lukas Bjørneboe Brændsrød, Nathalie Harrison, Lara Turk and Hannah Grennell all spring to my mind.
  16. I would suggest taking a hankie and covering your mouth with it if you have to cough. It makes a huge difference to the noise and reduces the potential annoyance factor quite signifcantly.
