  1. You have to “sign in” for track and trace when you attend so you don’t have to prove your identity. Only one person per group is required to sign in (in line with other places, including pubs and restaurants) so a second name is not required when you buy your tickets.
  2. *puts mod hat on* We’ll be deleting any post advertising tickets for sale that would breach (or bend) the household/bubble restrictions. *removes mod hat*
  3. yes the boxes are in use (not sure I saw anyone in the royal box though).
  4. To be honest, I couldn't see the amphitheatre from where I was sitting but the seats in the amphitheatre are indeed closer together (they don't have arm-rests except at the end of each section of seats).
  5. It’s “1 metre plus”, in accordance with the regulations. On a similar note, Wigmore Hall (where the seats are currently very sparse - 3 pairs and 2 singles every two rows) have just been given the go-ahead to just about double their current capacity, which is excellent news.
  6. Having been in the ROH for two performances, it's one empty seat left between each occupied seat/pair and no empty rows (other than at the front two rows of the stalls - and even they had people at the edges for the second performance (I imagine that depends on the size of the orchestra in the pit)). Not sure how you can keep physical distancing any other way without reducing capacity further.
  7. 12 Days of Christmas In the run-up to the festive season, the Royal Opera House will open the doors to its historic Covent Garden home as part of its Twelve Days of Christmas promenades. The promenade through the world-famous London theatre will include activities for the whole family, seated performances in the beautiful Crush Room and Paul Hamlyn Hall, as well as opportunities to encounter some orchestral and choral festive highlights from artists of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the Royal Opera House Chorus.
  8. The November RB programmes are subject to a limit of 2 tickets per production (each of "Elite Syncopations" and "Within the Golden Hour" are treated as separate productions). There is also a 2 ticket limit across the two classes on stage.
  9. Not quite sure what this is referencing but both The Dance Professionals Fund (which is the trading name of The Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund) and the Theatre Artists Fund have their registered charity number at the bottom of all of their webpages.
  10. Thanks @MJW @bridiem. Assume that is for Friends then, as my date is earlier.
  11. @MJW @oncnp Did your email confirm a booking date? Mine did but I'm not sure if that's a priority booking date or not.
  12. The two RB programmes are now 1.5 hours (7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.)
  13. no but I enjoyed the performances no less for the fact that they were broadcast with a slight delay and without the pauses and interval in the house.
  14. The error was that an email meant for Patrons was sent to a larger mailing list. No damage done but, helpfully, we got to find out the dates for the November shows. Why they can't just announce those dates publicly and help people in their planning, I'll never know.
  15. I have my tickets for Sadler's Wells and very much looking forward to it.
  16. So had I, so you're not alone! It was leading me to panic about booking other things, like ENB @ Sadler's Wells and a G&S concert at The Pleasance, and having booked for The Show Must Go On - Live at the Palace Theatre, so I'm very relieved now.

It depends on what you are applying for and where (and how) you are auditioning.
  18. it has been hung in various places over the years. Before the refurbishment/open up, it was on the wall of the amphi bar, near the top of the escalators.
