  1. Eric & Ernie will be thrilled that he’s coming to join them!
  2. It may be “an option” for the showpiece but it is not Le Corsaire (given the question I was responding to wondered whether Petipa was reusing variations across the two pieces).
  3. What Núñez performed in the live-stream was indeed Gamzatti’s variation, not Le Corsair at all.
  4. Who cares about the casting? It's the first opportunity to see the Royal Ballet performing live since the middle of March and the last for at least a month. I'll be there with a great big smile on my face, no matter who is performing!
  5. studio space has been available for hire during school holidays for as long as I can remember (confirmed by looking at the RBS website a moment ago).
  6. Time flies - the RB last did A Wedding Bouquet in 2004! I last saw it in Sarasota in 2016 with Barry Wandsworth narrating. Thoroughly enjoyable (in a double bill with Jazz Calendar).
  7. To be fair, Acosta described it as a premiere when he and Spalding spoke from the Wells’ stage before the first show!
  8. People who say “myself” when they mean “me”.
  9. Just to mention that the ticket limits on the Elite and WTGH programmes has now been lifted. Booking for Nuts has been pushed back a bit "to allow for family bookings and greater flexibility for ticket buyers in a socially-distanced auditorium".
  10. Just to mention the booking links for this from the BRB homepage don't appear to be working but the link in the press release above is working fine.
  11. I'm agreeing with Bluebird here. The only green leotard I can see is Yasmine Naghdi (with a turquoise skirt). Here's a screen grab.
  12. I completely agree with Jan here. Dancers (like everyone else) are entitled to their private lives and, in particular, things relating to their employment are very much a private matter. It's a bit of an extreme example but if a dancer was on a leave of absence because they had suffered a nervous breakdown, should the public be entitled to know why they aren't appearing on stage? It's clearly a no in this situation (and, therefore, also in other circumstances too).
  13. I was watching on YouTube and found that, if I put it into full screen mode, I couldn't see the chat bar (thankfully). I only saw class (bits of it anyway, whilst having Ballet Black's class on another screen and trying to work...), the Tchaik pd2 rehearsal and the Zucchetti piece rehearsal. Was very happy to see this new piece in its creation - an excellent choice of music and great choreography and casting - and what a joy to see the gentlement jumping together!
  14. I’m currrently sitting in a cabaret bar and it’s one person per table who needs to sign in. This is in line with government guidance.
  15. It's interesting to note that the Elite S bill seems to be all selling better (the available tickets are in the Amphitheatre (inc slips)) than the WTGH bill.
