  1. Very happy with this casting. The first two dates coincide with my pre-booked London trip and include the main cast I want to see (Clarke, Nunez, Bracewell, Naghdi and Dixon). Would love to see Bracewell’s Onegin though. I’d also like to see Kaneko but will hold off for R&J (desperately hoping they get cast together).
  2. Thanks so much for your responses! This is really helpful. I think I'm going to book the Behind the Scenes tour when I'm there for Alice in October. Will let you know how it goes.
  3. Has anyone done this before? The description is pretty vague on the website so thought I'd check with others if it's worth doing. What specific areas do you get to see?
  4. I decided to book Alice instead of Cinderella as I can't justify the cost for both, especially at these prices. Plus I want to book multiple Onegins and R&Js. I was initially a little disappointed as most people said I should have gone for Cinderella, but after watching the Alice Insights I'm looking forward to this way more now, mainly for the mad hatter. Would love to see either Richardson or Sissens. Does anyone know when the Onegin casting is likely to be announced?
  5. Thanks, I’m planning on seeing a Bracewell / Kaneko performance so either 4th or 10th December. Ideally the 10th as there’s another show I’d like to see in London which opens on the 7th. I’ve never seen Cinderella before but looking at the clips on social media I can now see that the view would be blocked either side for the descent. I’ll be booking on Tuesday so will make a decision then.
  6. I'm considering booking for Cinderella in December. I've only been to the ROH a couple of times, both times in the stalls. The first time I was front row centre, which was perfect. But the second time, I was in row G and due to poor raking, had to swerve my head several times throughout the show as the person in front was very tall and kept fidgeting. It really impacted my enjoyment of the show. The seats I am considering for Cinderella are front row (A27) or stalls circle (A100) to ensure I don't have anyone sat in front of me. I also prefer to be as close to the stage as possible. However, both of these seats are to the very end of the stage and I'm worried about the view. Out of these two seats, which do you think would be the better option? I'm worried I will miss some parts of the production being sat so far to one side of the stage but due to my inexperience of ROH seating I thought I'd ask here. Appreciate any inputs!
  7. Will casting be announced for Encounters or is it likely to stay as 'Artists of the Royal Ballet'? I don't know much about this but I may be in London for work when this is on and wondering whether to extend my stay and book for this.
  8. Hi all, my first post here after lurking for some time. Finally bit the bullet and joined after being inspired by a few familiar names over on theatreboard 🙂 Reece and Natalia were absolutely incredible on Thursday night. Technically, they really are in a different league. Although, I still think I preferred the Bracewell / Kaneko performance. They seemed to have more chemistry. It was also nice to see Teo Dubreuil as Benno after watching his Insights rehearsal. He had barely started rehearsals when that aired but you can tell he’s come a long way and gave a very solid performance. I’m still new to the world of ballet and I have to say that Leo Dixon is quickly becoming a firm favourite of mine. I was lucky enough to catch his Benno in April and it was great to see him on Thursday as one of the Spanish dancers. He’s got such incredible stage presence that it’s hard to take your eyes off him, even in smaller roles. Hope to see him in principal roles in future.
